Lebanon Bike Criterium: June 5, 2021 in Downtown Lebanon

About 300-400 cyclists will race the streets of Downtown Lebanon at the inaugural Lebanon Bike Criterium on June 5, 2021. This USA Cycling sanctioned event, presented by Main Street Lebanon and Queen City Wheels, will bring racers from across the Midwest to Lebanon for a high-speed, multi-lap race that will thrill cycling enthusiasts and non-fans alike.

So, what is a bike criterium? Merriam-Webster defines a criterium, or crit, as “a bicycle race of a specified number of laps on a closed course over public roads closed to normal traffic.” Spectators will be exhilarated watching cyclists race at speeds reaching 25+ mph in Downtown streets, while enjoying food and refreshments from local vendors. This event is free and open to the community.

The Lebanon Bike Criterium is scheduled for June 5, 2021 from 10:30 am to 7 pm, rain or shine. Cyclists will race a rectangular loop that includes Mulberry Street, High Street, Silver Street and Broadway.
