The Lebanon Division of Police is a full service, internationally accredited, law enforcement agency that includes a communications center and temporary holding facility. The Division of Police includes 28 sworn officers and 9 civilian personnel, serving a city of 21,000 citizens and patrolling 12.9 square miles. The agency has a strong sense of pride and commitment.

The Lebanon Division of Police is an accredited agency through the Commission of Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. Our agency was first accredited in 1986; the second accredited agency in Ohio and the 11th nationally.

The City of Lebanon Communications Center is responsible for all police, fire, and emergency services dispatching 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The communications center also serves as the call center for all city services during non-business hours. The communications center distinguishes itself from the other Warren County communications centers through our professional credentials that include being internationally accredited and each of our Communications Officers are trained and certified in Emergency Medical Dispatching protocols. Our Communications Officers are professionally certified to provide medical instructions to callers as emergency medical personnel respond to the emergency scene. The life saving information is vital during events where time is critical and medically trained personnel are not present. Without this training, dispatchers may only be able to send help and at best wait on the line with the caller until help arrives. No other communications center in Warren County shares these distinctive professional accomplishments.

The professional police and communications officers of the Lebanon Division of Police deliver the highest quality professional police and public safety services in Warren County. We receive tremendous support from our citizens, elected officials, and city leaders. Our police officers and communications center staff is uniquely trained and qualified to perform in a highly professional and efficient manner.

Citizen Satisfaction Survey

The Lebanon Division of Police is internationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and has maintained this accreditation since 1986. The benefits of CALEA accreditation include greater accountability within the agency, reduced risk and liability exposure, stronger defense against civil litigation, staunch support from government officials, and increase community advocacy. CALEA requires that an accredited agency must be in compliance with nearly 500 individual professional standards. One such standard requires that the agency conduct a documented survey of citizen attitudes and opinions at least once every three years. The survey is designed to be used as a platform for organizational learning by asking specific questions about the quality of policing in the community. The survey questions and feedback will help us better serve you and the other citizens of Lebanon.
