The City
of Lebanon Public Works Department is committed to providing quality
maintenance of the City’s roadways, storm drainage
systems, and public park areas to ensure public safety and enhanced
quality of life for the community. The department maintains over
84 miles of roadway and over 30 miles of storm sewers, as well as
maintaining over 300 acres of public park space. The department
is also responsible for the maintenance of all of the City’s
vehicles.
The Public Works Department provides curb-side leaf collection
services in the fall and snow plowing operations during inclement
weather.
The departments utilizes a variety of equipment to provide these
services including two ton and one ton dump trucks, street sweeper,
asphalt repair equipment, and an array of mowers. Recently, the
City purchased a salt brine unit that will allow the City to pro-actively
pre-treat the roadways in anticipation of snow / ice events. The
department continues
to look at new technologies to improve the level of service provided
in a cost-effective manner.
