The City Manager’s Office is responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of the City Council’s policies, goals and objectives. The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the City, and to manage the daily operations of the City staff.

The City of Lebanon operates under the Council - Manager form of government. The Council - Manager form is the system of local government that combines the strong political leadership of elected officials with the strong managerial experience of an appointed local government manager.
