2024 Urban Paving Program
The City of Lebanon, in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Transportation, is working to resurface sections of SR 123, SR 48 and US 42, replacing deteriorated curb & gutter, sidewalks, driveway aprons, and installing ADA compliant handicap ramps. The project includes the milling and resurfacing on US 42 from Glosser to SR 123, on Main Street (SR 48) from US 42 to SR 48 interchange, and on SR 123 from SR 48 interchange to the eastern corp. limit. The total project length is 2.30 miles. Construction for concrete begins in June and final paving is scheduled for August.
2024 Concrete and Paving Program
The City of Lebanon will be replacing all deteriorated curb & gutter, sidewalks, driveway aprons, catch basins and pavement along the following streets: Crossing Drive, Grandstone Court, Dogwood Court, Hampton Court, Camargo Court, Pond Court, Grandin Lane, Whispering Pine (Miller's Crossing Subdivision), South Mechanic Street, Stoneridge Lane, Evergreen Park Lane and Greengate Way. Construction will begin in June and be completed by the winter.
Cherry Street Reconstruction
The City of Lebanon will be completing a full reconstruction of Cherry Street from East Main Street to New Street. The construction activity will include a new roadway surface, installation of a new storm sewer system, new public sidewalks and a replacement of utilities as needed. This project began in August of 2023 with two phases. Construction from New Street to Warren Street was completed in winter 2023; Construction from Warren Street to Main Street will be finalized in June of 2024.
Kingsview Dr. Bridge Replacement Project
City of Lebanon in coordination with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) proposes to replace the Kingsview Drive bridge (SFN 8360235) over Turtle Creek in in the City of Lebanon, Ohio. Small right-of-way impacts to surrounding properties are expected. The vehicular bridge will be closed to traffic for approximately 40 weeks during construction. Traffic control and roadway closure signs will be posted, and the signed detour will be Colombia Road to Mason Morrow Millgrove Road to Turtlecreek Road for an approximate detour length of 3.5 miles. The pedestrian bridge that is part of the Lebanon Countryside Trail will be closed for no more than two weeks, in order to safely replace the Kingsview Drive bridge. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the adjacent bridge during the majority of construction. Construction work is expected to begin in Fall 2024 and will last approximately six months.
